Frame circuit breaker incoming and outgoing lines

Pull out frame circuit breakers are used in IEEE C37.20.1/UL1558 low-voltage armored switchgear, while fixed frame circuit breakers are used in UL891 distribution panels, with cables connected through mechanical LUG (MECHANICL) or compression LUG (COMPRESSION).

Mechanical LUG cable insertion, bolt fastening is sufficient, and pressing the cable head is commonly used in China. Use tools to press the cable into the wire nose.

1200A adopts 4 500MCM copper core cables with a bending space of 330mm, or 3 750MCM copper core cables with a bending space of 483mm.

1600A adopts 5 500MCM copper core cables with a bending space of 330mm. Alternatively, 4 750MCM copper core cables with a minimum bending space of 534mm are used.

2000A adopts 6 500MCM copper core cables with a bending space of 330mm. Alternatively, 5 750MCM copper core cables with a minimum bending space of 534mm are used.

3000A adopts 8 500MCM copper core cables with a bending space of 330mm. Alternatively, 7 750MCM copper core cables with a minimum bending space of 534mm are used.

4000A uses 11 500MCM copper core cables with a bending space of 330mm, or 9 750MCM copper core cables with a minimum bending space of 534mm.

5000A uses 14 500MCM copper core cables with a bending space of 330mm. Alternatively, 11 750MCM copper core cables with a bending space of 534mm or more are required.

Plastic shell circuit breaker outgoing line

Fixed type molded case circuit breakers are used for UL891 distribution panels or UL67 distribution boxes. Molded case circuit breakers generally come with mechanical LUG, which needs to be specified when ordering the circuit breaker. The manufacturer's standard LUG specifications are as follows.

150A adopts a maximum 2/0 cable, with a cable cross-sectional area of 67.4 square millimeters, a minimum bending radius of 152mm, and a minimum bending space of 190mm for three cables.

250A uses a maximum of 300MCM cable with a cross-sectional area of 152 square millimeters and a minimum bending radius of 254mm.

400A uses a maximum 400MCM cable with a cross-sectional area of 203 square millimeters and a minimum bending radius of 330mm.

600A uses a maximum of 2 350MCM cables with a cross-sectional area of 177 square millimeters and a minimum bending radius of 305mm.

800A uses a maximum of 3 300MCM cables with a cross-sectional area of 152 square millimeters and a minimum bending radius of 280mm.

1200A uses a maximum of 4 350MCM cables with a cross-sectional area of 177 square millimeters and a minimum bending radius of 356mm.

This article is organized according to the UL891 standard for reference only, and shall be executed in accordance with the specific requirements of the standard.
