American standard 38kV 4000A switchgear
For application scenarios such as electric arc furnace switchgear, wind farm switchgear, distribution switchgear, and fixed circuit breakers used for station service circuit breakers, replacement of blower circuit breakers, and retrofitting of old circuit breakers, the rated requirements for 38kV distribution level circuit breakers and metal armored switchgear have significantly increased with the increasing demand for continuous current loads.
Vacuum 38 kV circuit breakers and metal armored switchgear are used to meet these requirements. The 4000 ampere switchgear has natural convection cooling and does not require fans. Between 4000 amperes and 5000 amperes, forced cooling is used. Open pole for easy heat dissipation.

The switchgear is a withdrawable circuit breaker that meets all requirements and interlocks of IEEE standards. Can be used for indoor or outdoor services. An arc resistant structure that complies with IEEE standards. Rated continuous operating current: 4000~5000A Short circuit breaking current: 40kA Short circuit closing current: 108kA
Rated impulse withstand voltage: 200kV Rated power frequency withstand voltage: 95kV
The 200 kV BIL lightning impulse withstand voltage Basic Insulation Level is very suitable for altitudes above 1000 meters to maintain the same BIL level as lower altitudes. It is also suitable for challenging environments or places where customers wish to maintain 200 kV BIL requirements for outdoor substations and substations. Very suitable for desert areas with high salt atmosphere and high ambient temperature (such as the Middle East).
All circuit breakers are equipped with a door closing rocker mechanism from the disconnected position to the connected position. Remote electric rocking in is available. Provide manual disconnection regulations when closing the door.
The further characteristics of Metalclad switchgear are as follows: all live parts are enclosed in grounded metal compartments. The circuit breaker compartment includes a grounding metal baffle located in front of the main (high voltage) plug-in connection sleeve. The position of the valve is automatically operated by the action of the circuit breaker. Energy storage operation. The circuit breaker is installed on a pull-out handcart. The handcart can be connected or disconnected through a rocking mechanism with the closed front door. We also provide remote rocking motors for operator safety. Provide interlocking devices to ensure safe operation of circuit breakers, such as releasing all springs when the circuit breaker moves, preventing the movement of the closed circuit breaker, etc. All busbars are insulated. Copper silver plated connection bar. The circuit breaker control circuit (auxiliary) automatically connects or disconnects according to the position of the circuit breaker.
The control circuit is isolated from the high-voltage circuit through a metal barrier (except for the secondary wiring of certain equipment, as allowed by IEEE standards). Each circuit breaker has disconnect, test, and connection positions with visible indications. The control cabinet includes all necessary relays, wiring terminals, etc. The current transformer includes short-circuit terminal blocks. The control conductor is a SIS type switchgear wire. The circuit breaker automatically grounds when pushed into place.
A current transformer installed on a contact box. The secondary connection on the switchgear is located at the front of the circuit breaker for easy maintenance. The primary (circuit breaker installation) contact is a circular plum blossom contact, which is inserted into the interior of the primary contact box to avoid corona.
External dimensions of switchgear, lightning impulse withstand voltage 170kV - width: 1219mm, depth: 3300mm, height: 2489mm;
Lightning impulse withstand voltage 200kV - Width: 1524mm, Depth: 3657mm, Height: 2794mm
