ABBABB American standard air insulated metal armored switchgear has two series. Non arc cabinet, Advance series Advance -15kV and below, 4.76/8.25Advance-27-27kV arc cabinet, SafeGear series SafeGear -50kASafeGear HD -63kA

The compartments and pressure relief systems inside the switchgear are used as exhaust systems to expel gas from personnel and affected compartments in the event of an arc fault. The ventilation port and valve disc are located inside the compartment system and at the top of the casing to release pressure. ABB developed this design and holds patents for many structural details of this truly innovative concept.

The switchgear is assembled from a complete set of sturdy, durable, stackable circuit breakers and auxiliary equipment modules, forming the SafeGear or Advance switchgear series. All modules are powered by Galvalume ® Made of pre coated steel, it has excellent corrosion resistance.

Double fold bending is used to form a rigid, self-supporting structure. In addition to its outstanding structural advantages, the bending of the folded edge can also avoid damage to the steel edge, greatly reducing the risk of injury during workshop handling and assembly, as well as on-site inspection and maintenance.

The ADVAC and AMVAC circuit breaker modules are designed to maximize operator safety, providing a large observation window and three position door closing operation without the need for remote electric rocking in devices. The circuit breaker has self-aligning, fully automatic primary and secondary contacts. They have unique features of easy installation, safe operation, and simple maintenance.

Siemens' GM-SG and GM-SGAR5, 7.2, and 15kV models, as well as GM38 and 38kV metal clad power switchgear components with horizontal withdrawable vacuum circuit breakers, utilize the latest developments in vacuum circuit breaker technology.

A vertical cabinet can hold up to two circuit breakers, greatly saving space for GM-SG and GM-SG-AR switchgear.

Siemens switchgear has been tested and meets the requirements of ANSI/IEEE standards. Successfully completed a complete design testing program, including short-circuit breaking, load current switching, continuous current, mechanical durability, breaking and closing current, short-time and instantaneous withstand, lightning impulse withstand, and other tests required by standards.

These tests include complete equipment design, including switch device structure and detachable components of circuit breakers. Certified test data can be provided to customers upon request.

Switchgear can provide UL or C-UL (used in Canada) listed labels indicating compliance with the requirements of ANSI/IEEE C37.54 and ANSI/IEEE C37.55.
